The NCACP Region VII Spring Training Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 8:00am – 5:00pm at the Wake Tech East Campus, which is located at 5401 Rolesville Road Wendell, NC 27591. The meeting will be held in Building C.
NCACP Region VII Meeting Sign-Up for Association Members. Corporate Captains wishing to attend, please see the instructions below.
Corporate Captains....Chief Capps is looking for sponsors and partners. The theme of the training is Artificial Intelligence in LE, so tech vendors may want to jump on this one. For those Corporate Captains that wish to attend, please contact Chief Lawrence Capps, Region 7 Director, via email at [email protected]
You will note that there is a 30-minute slot for any relevant state agency updates. This will be conducted in a round robin, announcement style format. State agency heads can contact me at [email protected] if you have questions about what this will look like.
I have secured the training space for the NCACP Board of Directors Meeting as well. Members of the association are welcome to attend the Board Meeting if you wish.

2026 Chiefs Legislative Day
Chiefs Day is next week, Wednesday May 13! This is the day Chiefs converge on the General Assembly to get updates on pending legislative issues and meet with their legislators to support NCACP legislative issues.
Please make every effort to attend—this is one of the most effective ways to get our message heard and respected in the legislature. All ranks welcome. Please wear uniform.
Schedule:
8:30 AM. Meet for briefing at Museum of Natural Science, level 4. Map for parking and short walk to museum attached. Parking lot is pink area, Visitor 1 on map.
9:00 AM. Walk across the street as a group to the Legislative Building. Proceed to 3d floor for group photo on the red carpet on staircase.
10:30-11:30 AM. Meeting in Room 415, Legislative Office Building, for conversations with key legislators on pending issues. The Legislative Office Building is reached from the rear of the Legislative Building across a pedestrian bridge.
11:30 AM. On your own to meet with your legislators. It is suggested that you call them to let them know you are coming and have lunch with them or meet in their office. They are on a schedule too so it is good to pre-plan a meeting or lunch.
Lists of physical office numbers and phone numbers of Representatives and Senators are attached. “LB” means Legislative Building, “LOB” means Legislative Office Building. There are cafeterias in the basement level of both Legislative Building and Legislative Office Building.
Return home at your discretion.
You are also encouraged to attend the Region VII regional meeting and training program in Wendell on the day before, May 12. Information about that has been sent previously.
